My abstract paintings are almost always a combination of many types of paints; acrylic, oil, water as well as graphite and oil pastels.  I often scribble into my works with different inks, grapites and oils... really anything that I can get my hands on is free game when I am creating.  

I use heavy amounts of water and air in this style of my abstract paintings... so I paint not only with my brushes but with hair dryers as well.

I don't set out with a plan or idea.. my abstract paintings are driven by emotion. I am not focused on what the viewer will think or feel when viewing my works. It is never a concern for me when painting my abstracts. Just the fact that I can make those that view my work feel 'anything' is an accomplishment for me. Each person will take away something different...
