The text in this work is from Psalm 23: 1-4 and reads: The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack. In green pastures you let me graze; to safe waters you lead me; you restore my strength.  You guide me along the right path for the sake of your name.  Even when I walk through a dark valley, I fear no harm for you are at my side; your rod and staff give me courage.

This is one of my original cross art paintings from 2016.  I have been painting my scripture and cross art paintings since the passing of my grandmother in 2003.  I was given a bible that had been given to my father by his employer upon his mother's passing.  Scripture to me is the ultimate 'power of words'.  To read words that can affect your mindset.. is a powerful thing. Words with ability to bring comfort, hope and strength... courage.
