Found Object Art Gallery
Online and offline (Northwest Indiana) art gallery of artworks created by the use of found objects, discarded trash, and natural resources (tree bark, driftwood, beach glass, stones, etc) to create modern works of art.
Found object art was named from a translation of the French term objet trouvé, which means found art. This style of artwork (found object art) uses items that when you view on it's own separately, have non-art functions. For example; an old rusted screwdriver, a broken chair leg, keys from a no longer functioning antique typewriter, etc.
I enjoy working in found object assemblages as it combines my love to use my creativity and imagination to create something beautiful from nothing/junk, while also doing something that in it's own small way allows me to do my part to recycle and reuse old, discarded items that would otherwise be in a trash heap somewhere littering our earth. I hope you enjoy my found object art assemblages.
