ART JOURNALING..
Art journals. Artist sketchbooks.. whatever you want to call them what they really are is the artist's diary. When I am not working on large canvas paintings I am doodling, drawing, collaging or painting 'small scale'.. in little art journals. Actually nothing is safe in my presence... envelopes.. paper plates, insides of book covers.. you name it, but quite often if I have any down time I have an art journal open and am filling it with my visual thoughts.
In my studio I have a huge flat file folder that is literally filled with collage works, drawings, and paintings I've created. In one of the massive pull out files I have it filled with art journals and artist sketchbooks some completely full, and others just randomly full.
